Hi, How are you?

My business cards say I'm a Graphic Designer. My work says I'm also a Front-end Web Developer. Both are true. But, generally speaking, I'm a fan of form & function (and apparently alliteration).

This After That is a little place for me to play around with HTML5 & CSS3. I may also use it in an attempt to showcase myself a bit. If you would like to throw words at me in either question or opinion form, I welcome you.

Work I’m going to call it work, even though it’s mostly just fun.

Wirth Motor Co.

A good friend was out browsing the internet when he decided to see what I was up to. It turns out he liked This After That. He got a hold of me and we were soon talking about putting together a site where people could view his paintings and submit their own vehicles to be painted. Wirth Motor Co. produces vivid images that are beautiful in their simplicity and that was also the aim with the site. <a href="http://wirthmotorcompany.com">http://wirthmotorcompany.com</a> functions as a venue where the paintings are allowed to take center stage.

Musings Snarky like you like 'em

What is it, autumn or something?

I’ve done a lot of things since Lea’s birthday. I got engaged to her! That was a pretty significant one. We saw some shows. The first picture is from the Fleet Foxes show in Minneapolis that unfortunately suffered from a bad soundboard mix and was subsequently uncomfortable after the crowd began yelling at the band. Those blurry people in the background look displeased and that was before any music had been played. The next picture is from The Black Keys show in St. Paul which was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Lots of energy.

I also turned 30 and was pleasantly surprised by the fiance with a party in Yankton that consisted of a select group of friends where we went camping at Lewis & Clark Lake and kayaked. I biked much less and drove much more than I should have. I never once went rock climbing all summer! There was much Scrabble, movies, video games and food. The Phillips house has new shingles and Surly has a new disc brake Long Haul Trucker that I intend to get as soon as it’s available. I’m going to enjoy playing some Deus Ex, Gears of War 3, Batman: Arkham City, and Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. You should probably see Drive while it’s in theaters. Ryan Gosling isn’t just for the ladies. There’re more things… Um, I’m going to go listen to WTF with Marc Maron and work on responsive web design.

It’s Your Birthday!

It’s Lea’s Birthday! Happy Birthday Sweets!
