Hi, How are you?

My business cards say I'm a Graphic Designer. My work says I'm also a Front-end Web Developer. Both are true. But, generally speaking, I'm a fan of form & function (and apparently alliteration).

I've created this site to communicate with the larger world. It will be the place where all my design and online interactions come together to hang out. If you would like to throw words at me in either question or opinion form, I welcome you.

eventually, everyone does a bear impression.

On my previous blog I showcased the awesome HO_US_E OF/ CARD_S video that was shot entirely with lazers.  The aforementioned video allowed the user to manipulate the angle and zoom of their view whilst Thom Yorke sang and landscapes were explored.  Much in the spirit of the HO_US_E OF/ CARD_S video, Radiohead has released an interactive live performance that allows the user to choose from any of 12 camera angles and ultimately create their own concert-going experience.  The song is 15 Step and the location is Japan. Check it out if you have the time.

Whoever is coming up with all these things (e.g. house of cards, this new 12-video, the online album offering) deserves a whole bunch of credit. Do you think its Thom Yorke? My gosh, even the loading bar before the video was different than what I’ve seen before…

Well, the House of Cards video was a bunch of researchers that came to Radiohead and said, “Hey, we’ve got this technology, want to try it for a music video?” I don’t know about the concert video concept. The online album offering was an idea I’m pretty sure the whole band sat down and discussed. You mostly just read about Thom and Johnny in a lot of the articles.

I had a friend end up showing me the Cards video and I had to watch the little behind the scenes clip right after. Things like that, and the camera you sent me a link to (finally got the clip watched) get me excited, and I feel like they are special creative breakthroughs that challenge the inside of my brain, you know, like Minesweeper on expert.

Ha, well minesweeper can be quite daunting. I like the technology. I like invention. I like when Radiohead is incorporated.
