i’ve been at my job three years
Hey, so this band, King Kahn & The Shrines, is pretty great. They will be at the Triple Rock next month and I’m thinking about going. Any of you Minneapolis kids up for it? The following band, Phoenix, will be there the following weekend.
I’m pretty sure I’m a little behind on throwing my support behind Phoenix after they rocked SNL, but they are damn catchy and they suit the new change in seasons. If you enjoy a band that sounds exactly the same live as they do on their CD, I suggest picking it up. I would like to add that I think it’s pretty awesome that they got Mark Ruffalo’s character from Eternal Sunshine to play guitar. Also, I wanna Kill by The Crocodiles is a catchy tune. I couldn’t find a video for it with decent sound.
Now, to the title of my post. Yes, I have been at my job for 3 whole years now. I feel pretty good about it. I think I’ve learned a fair amount regarding both design and the politics of business. There isn’t much else to say other than I’m happy I’m still employed. Currently, I’m trying to assist my good buddy Brandon with the creation of an Xbox game. I’m also playing a lot of Xbox since I bought one. I have to prep for the tournament Brandon set up here in Sioux Falls ( www.soofoogamers.com ). I took the bike out for its first run of the year a couple days ago. I know, I wait for absolutely fantastic weather. It felt good. I also look forward to getting out rock climbing. As soon as my friend Ana moves back from all that silly school-year stuff, I’ll be ready. And… I want to see this movie. Yep, that’s Kevin Spacey as a smiley face computer.
King Kahn & The Shrines = good. From the looks of the video, I’m surprised they ain’t dead. (Because it looks like an old video (not because they’re doing crazy stuff)).
Phoenix = meh (only saving grace is Mark Ruffalo)
You being at your job three years = Worthy of congratulations. You could be king of business politics some day. (and still shovel on Tuesdays…)
Hey their brother, you know my friend Annie who lives here in Chicago is friends with the girlfriend of Phoenix’s lead singer. I’ll see if I can arrange some rock’n'roll schwag. That movie looks pretty pretty pretty good. Also, your car as well as six others got broken into again, same window. Nothing was stolen though. These damn thugs, I’m doing my best to sell the thing but no one is biting the hook yet.

Tyler:
King Kahn just made an old looking video. That video was released a couple days ago.
Regarding your Phoenix response: http://vimeo.com/3718294
I hope to be the king of something someday. Maybe the king of shoveling.
PK12K Brother:
Of course you would have a friend with the ins to something cool like Phoenix. I am a big appreciator of schwag.
Yeah, I’m excited about the movie. It’s directed by David Bowie’s son.
Ha, that’s unfortunate about the car. Did you get the window repaired? At least they didn’t steal the Creedence. You keep trying to sell that at your leisure. I have to send you the new insurance cards for that. I also have to renew the registration in June.
Auto-tuning sass = low blow.

I like the blog — cool mix of personal & music!
thank you sir. I’m fairly slack with the updates and music is the easiest thing for me to get a comment out on.

I could probably swing $125.00/month… can you swing the rest?
Ha, Man, I saw this and started calculating how I could make it happen too! I’m sure there are plenty of people interested enough to drive the price through the roof. Also, “what the hell is a low-zer?”
