I got to see them play in Iowa City a few years back - they were like seasoned pros who knew how to play with gasoline and get out before the place was burned to the ground. Fantastic show. Cass McCombs opened for them, I've been enjoying his recent album lately. I agree, they write stuff I either love or like, but nothing I dislike.

Of course, in my mind, Modest Mouse can do no wrong. They have better and worse but they don't have bad. Though, I'll admit I often turn to their older stuff when looking for something to listen to.
